{"id":24125,"date":"2025-06-29T09:17:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-29T09:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/24125\/"},"modified":"2025-06-29T09:17:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-29T09:17:09","slug":"nvidia-taps-two-young-chinese-ai-experts-to-strengthen-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/24125\/","title":{"rendered":"Nvidia taps two young Chinese AI experts to strengthen research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>US chip giant <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/nvidia?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">Nvidia<\/a> has hired two prominent <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/artificial-intelligence?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">artificial intelligence<\/a> (AI) experts who hail from China, underscoring the rising global recognition of talent from the mainland and their key contributions to the field\u2019s advancement.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Zhu Banghua and Jiao Jiantao, both alumni of China\u2019s Tsinghua University, said on their respective social media accounts that they joined Nvidia, sharing photos of themselves with Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of the company.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Zhu, who received his bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Tsinghua in 2018 and a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2024, joined Nvidia\u2019s Nemotron team as a principal research scientist, according to Zhu\u2019s post on X from over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Zhu\u2019s LinkedIn profile showed that he has also been an assistant professor at the University of Washington since September 2024.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cWe\u2019ll be joining forces on efforts in [AI] model post-training, evaluation, agents, and building better AI infrastructure \u2013 with a strong emphasis on collaboration with developers and academia,\u201d Zhu said, adding that the team was committed to open-sourcing its work and sharing it with the world.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Nemotron is a group at Nvidia dedicated to building enterprise-level AI agents, according to the team\u2019s official website.
