\u201cA substantial\u201d number of Gen Z voters supporting socialist NYC mayoral frontrunner\u00a0Zohran\u00a0Mamdani have been brainwashed by leftist ideology into an army of \u201cnasty,\u201d USA-hating radicals \u2014 who routinely accost rival Mayor Eric Adams on the campaign trail, Hizzoner revealed to The Post.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have never witnessed a more mean and angry and nasty electoral season \u2014 and not all of Zohran\u2019s voters are, but a substantial number of them,\u201d Adams said during an exclusive 20-minute sitdown at Gracie Mansion.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou know, when you sit in a restaurant with a family, a family restaurant, children are there, and you\u2019re sitting down with your loved ones and family, and someone is yelling out, \u2018F you!\u2019 Cursing!<\/p>\n

Hizzoner blamed left-infested public schools, colleges and other institutions for indoctrinating impressionable youth, creating a veritable Red Army.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur children are being radicalized, and no one wants to talk about it, but I will, because I see it,\u201d said Adams.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see how our children are starting to hate their city, to hate our country, and that is something that we must address.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of young people are going on, doing great things, going to school \u2014\u00a0 but a substantial pocket of our young people have been radicalized in the city through a number of means: our school campuses, through social media, through their peer groups. The radicalization is real.\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The moderate Democrat said the problem isn\u2019t limited to New York, citing the\u00a0Sept. 10 assassination of conservative pundit Charlie Kirk in Utah, and last month\u2019s slaughter at a Minnesota church by Robin Westman, who confessed that he \u201cwas tired of being trans\u201d and wished he \u201cnever brain-washed\u201d himself.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t have a 22-year-old assassinate someone because you disagree with them,\u201d he said. \u201cYou don\u2019t have a young person going into a Catholic school shooting children \u2026 I\u2019m not sure what it\u2019s going to take for us to realize that \u2026 \u2018Houston, we have a problem.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Support from younger voters played a pivotal role in Mamdani\u2019s stunning upset over ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the Democrat primary. Cuomo, like Adams, is now running for mayor in the Nov. 4 general election as an independent.<\/p>\n
Mamdani has support from 64% of \u201clikely\u201d New York City voters ages 18 through 29, compared to 14% for Cuomo, 11% for Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, 9% for Adams, according to a Marist University poll released Tuesday.<\/p>\n
