A Bronx man was fatally shot on the sidewalk near his home after a witness said they heard two men arguing, police sources said.<\/p>\n
Amaury Carrion was found with three gunshot wounds, including two in the abdomen and one in the chest, around 12:30 a.m. outside of a home on Reverend James A Polite Avenue near East 164th Street in Longwood, the sources said.<\/p>\n
Carrion, 46, who lived about five doors down from where he was shot, later succumbed to his injuries at Lincoln Hospital, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The victim was described\u00a0by his\u00a0weeping\u00a0family, who gathered outside his home Saturday afternoon,\u00a0as a \u201cloving husband\u201d and \u201cloving father.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Carrion lived at the house for many years with his wife, had two teenage children and worked at the Hunts Point Produce Market, said a\u00a0cousin, who declined to identify herself.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a very good person,\u201d she said. \u201cIf you needed him, he would be there in a heartbeat. This happening right now is just shocking. It\u2019s just jaw dropping.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe just had a party, not too long ago, a whole family birthday party,\u201d she said. \u201cThat was the last time I saw him, and then I got this call today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrion\u00a0was\u00a0a \u201cvery nice guy,\u201d\u00a0according to a neighbor who declined to give her name.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe never bothered nobody,\u201d she said. \u201cI always seen him and his wife with their dog. I feel very sorry for her. He was a quiet guy, kept to himself. Very nice guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
She was concerned about violence in her neighborhood, she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s scary,\u201d she said. \u201cI hope they catch him as soon as possible. We need more patrols in this area.\u201d<\/p>\n
