Kat Von D<\/a> is showing off her tattoo transformation.<\/p>\n The celebrity tattoo artist, 43, shared a look at her new ink in an Instagram post<\/a> on Saturday, Sept. 20 \u2014 nearly two years after she said she intended to tattoo parts of her body with<\/a> black ink.<\/p>\n The post kicked off with a photo of the musician posing in leather for her new album, My Side of the Mountain. She could be seen wearing a black spaghetti-strap top and mini shorts, paired with gloves and knee-high boots.<\/p>\n The outfit highlighted the new tattoos on her body, including black ink which appeared to cover her arms up to her shoulders and her left leg to just above her knee.<\/p>\n zerojack\/Star Max\/GC<\/p>\n Kat Von D steps out in Los Angeles in April 2023<\/p>\n On her right leg, Von D appeared to have a large illustration of a man in a 1700s outfit with a wig. Below her knee, black ink could also be visible, along with several symbols inked into her fingers.<\/p>\n Additional glimpses of her tattoos could be seen throughout the video as she previewed several tracks off her new album, which was released on Saturday. In one video for her song \u201cDead,\u201d Von D showed off the designs of her arm tattoos while doing floor exercises. One star in particular could be seen heavily shaded right under her eye.<\/p>\n In her performance of \u201cTruth in Reverse,\u201d Von D showed off tattoos on her neck and midsection. On one side of her neck, an illustration of lips was visible, while the other side featured a leafy design with roses. The motif extended to her torso, with shadowed leaves inked along the left side and outlined leaves on the right.<\/p>\n Von D previously shared a glimpse into the process of inking her body black in October 2023. She shared a clip showing the tattoo needles needed to ink her body and the artist using them to tattoo her torso.\u00a0She could be seen lifting her arm to show her tattooed torso on the right side before clapping her hands together and smiling at the camera.<\/p>\n \u201c17 sessions, and almost 40 accumulative hours later, we are about 80% done with blacking out my body,\u201d she captioned the video.<\/p>\n Von D also explained at the time that she had started the process of \u201clasering tattoos\u201d away that she said \u201cno longer aligns with\u201d who she was. However, while she thought it was \u201ceffective,\u201d she didn\u2019t think she was a \u201cgood candidate\u201d for it \u201cconsidering how much coverage\u201d she \u201cwanted to remove.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSome people are fine with keeping these types of landmarks in time on them \u2014 I personally grew tired of waking up to them, and seeing those constant reminders every time I looked in a mirror,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso, I really love the [aesthetic].
