On the first level, new turn-arounds and sidewalks will be added along I-10. Additionally, the existing VIA Park and Ride facility will be modified to fit underneath the new interchange.

The second level will include the I-10 mainlanes and maintain additional space for any future expansions of I-10 through the interchange. Additional proposed improvements on the second level include new collector-distributor roads along I-10, which will help local traffic flow and provide drivers an opportunity to bypass the roundabouts.

The third level will consist of the Loop 1604 mainlanes, which will be expanded with an additional mainlane and a HOV lane in each direction. Improvements will include an 18.5-foot vertical clearance for large trucks and additional collector-distributor roads on the outside of the mainlanes.

The fourth and fifth levels will include the eight flyover ramps, which will provide higher speed connections between Loop 1604 and I-10, according to the release.

“>

A new flyover ramp, connecting drivers to eastbound Loop 1604 to eastbound I-10, at the Loop 1604 and…

[5133
5229,20503,103337,45732,18475,129659,25408,7202,7203,358,66700,314,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-243023","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-san-antonio","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-driving","10":"tag-flyover-ramp","11":"tag-la-cantera","12":"tag-loop-1604","13":"tag-loop-1604-and-i-10-interchange","14":"tag-north-san-antonio","15":"tag-san-antonio","16":"tag-sanantonio","17":"tag-texas","18":"tag-the-rim","19":"tag-traffic","20":"tag-tx","21":"tag-united-states","22":"tag-united-states-of-america","23":"tag-unitedstates","24":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","25":"tag-us","26":"tag-usa
["GET
