Ukraine needs protection \u201cfrom ballistic and other missiles, from drones, and from terror,\u201d Zelenskyy said. \u201cUkraine must strengthen its air defense \u2014 the thing that best protects lives. Earlier this week, during a press conference<\/a> in The Hague, after a verbal exchange with a Ukrainian journalist, U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. needs Patriots too.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey [Ukrainians] want to have the anti-missiles, as they call them \u2026 the Patriots,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd we\u2019re going to see if we can make some available. They\u2019re very hard to get<\/a>. We need them too. We were supplying them to Israel, and they\u2019re very effective. A hundred percent effective \u2014 hard to believe how effective,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n

Kyiv on Saturday said a Ukrainian drone strike on the Kirovske airfield in Crimea destroyed several Russian helicopters and an air defense system<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The drones targeted areas where Russian aviation units, air defense systems, ammunition depots and unmanned aerial vehicles were located, the Security Service of Ukraine, or SBU, said in a Telegram post<\/a>.
