PHILADELPHIA, PA<\/strong> \u2014 The Philadelphia Police Department<\/a> is requesting the public\u2019s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a 17-year-old female on the northbound subway platform at Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue. The incident occurred on June 24, 2025.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the suspect is described as a Black male between the ages of 15 and 17 with short braids. At the time, he was wearing a white tank top, black shorts, high white socks, black sneakers, and carried a black backpack.<\/p>\n

Authorities have urged the public not to approach the individual if he is seen, but to contact 911 immediately.<\/p>\n

Members of the public who can provide information about the suspect or the incident are encouraged to submit a tip by calling the Philadelphia Police Department\u2019s anonymous tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). Information can also be directed to the Shooting Investigations Group at 215-686-8271. The case\u2019s reference ID is DC 25-22-044837.<\/p>\n

Officials emphasize that the suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Additional updates will be released as the investigation progresses.<\/p>\n
