Well, if you were hoping to trade in your old iPhone for a discount on a shiny new one, I’ve got some bad news. Apple just lowered trade-in values for the best iPhones<\/a>, going all the way back to that iPhone 8 you got when you couldn’t escape “Despacito” or Ed Sheeran on the radio. Read on for a full breakdown of what your old iPhone is worth with Apple’s new trade-in values below. If you’re set on buying from Apple, you can still get a fair amount for newer devices, including up to $700 for an iPhone 16 Pro Max, which could bring the base iPhone 17’s price down to just $99. Trade-ins for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 will get you $450, $470, and $580, respectively.<\/p>\n

If it were me, I’d rather get an iPhone 17 through AT&T, Verizon<\/a>, or Boost Mobile, as all three are offering up to $1,100 in credit with trade-in for both new and existing customers. That basically makes the iPhone 17 Pro Max free, that BS connection fee notwithstanding. Of course, the fine print is that you’ll have to sign up for the carriers’ more expensive plans and\/or open a new line in most cases.
