{"id":244950,"date":"2025-09-21T23:05:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-21T23:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/244950\/"},"modified":"2025-09-21T23:05:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T23:05:11","slug":"dominican-republic-says-it-confiscated-cocaine-that-was-on-speed-boat-destroyed-by-us-navy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/244950\/","title":{"rendered":"Dominican Republic says it confiscated cocaine that was on speed boat destroyed by US Navy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) \u2014 Authorities in the Dominican Republic said Sunday they have confiscated some of the cocaine transported by a speedboat that was destroyed recently by the U.S. Navy, as the Trump administration carries out a <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-military-strike-venezuela-drug-cartels-congress-4163da47013db5d188944f7d29e68b56\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">controversial anti-narcotics mission<\/a> in the southern Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>In a press conference, the Dominican Republic\u2019s National Directorate for Drug Control said it recovered 377 packages of cocaine from the boat which was allegedly carrying 1,000 kilos of the drug.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the boat was destroyed about 80 nautical miles south of Isla Beata, a small island that belongs to the Dominican Republic.
