Hayden Panettiere<\/strong> will reprise her role as Kirby Reed in Scream 7<\/strong>, according to EW<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fan-favorite character was first introduced as the horror-loving sidekick-turned-survivor in Scream 4<\/strong>. She returned in Scream VI<\/strong>, now an FBI special agent.<\/p>\n

EW reports that Panettiere will \u201cteam up with Neve Campbell<\/strong>\u2018s Sidney Prescott\u201d for the latest installment in the slasher saga.<\/p>\n

Due out on February 27, 2026<\/strong>, Scream 7 is directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson<\/strong> from a script by Guy Busick<\/strong> (Scream\u00a02022, Scream VI).<\/p>\n

Panettiere and Campbell aren\u2019t the only familiar faces returning; they\u2019ll be joined by Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding,<\/strong> Jasmin Savoy Brown, <\/strong>David Arquette, Matthew Lillard<\/a>, <\/strong>and Scott Foley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Isabel May, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O\u2019Connor, Sam Rechner, Asa Germann, Anna Camp, Ethan Embry, Mark Consuelos, Michelle Randolph, <\/strong>and Jimmy Tatro<\/strong> round out the cast.<\/p>\n

The plot is expected to focus on Sidney Prescott and her family approximately two years after the events of Scream VI.<\/p>\n
