HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 Authorities are piecing together what led up to a man\u2019s death after he was found shot to death Sunday night on the west side of Houston, near the Galleria. <\/p>\n

Lt. JP Horelica with the Houston Police Department<\/a> said just a little before 11:45 p.m., on Unity Drive near Richmond Avenue, officers were flagged down by witnesses to report a body down the street. Police found the unidentified man on the sidewalk just south of the Skyline intersection, who suffered several gunshot wounds, and pronounced him dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear how the man was killed, and the only suspect information Lt. Horelica noted was a younger man wearing all black and driving a black car. <\/p>\n

There were reports of a carjacking in the area, Lt. Horelica noted, but it\u2019s unclear if it was related to the shooting, and it is part of HPD\u2019s ongoing investigation. <\/p>\n
