{"id":246332,"date":"2025-09-22T12:50:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-22T12:50:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/246332\/"},"modified":"2025-09-22T12:50:17","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T12:50:17","slug":"nets-reprise-city-edition-uniforms-inspired-by-the-notorius-b-i-g","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/246332\/","title":{"rendered":"Nets&#8217; reprise City Edition uniforms inspired by The Notorius B.I.G."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">Seven years later, the Nets are reprising their Brooklyn Camo City Edition uniforms that were inspired by Bed-Stuy native The Notorious B.I.G.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">With all NBA teams reviving former City Edition apparel as part of a leaguewide \u201cRemix\u201d campaign, the Nets say they had an easy choice, considering their 2018 \u201cBiggie\u201d uniform &#8212; sold on a limited basis and soon a collector\u2019s item &#8212; has long been a community talking point.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">\u201cIt\u2019s something we anecdotally get questions about all the time, \u2018Are you bringing it back? Can I buy it still?\u2019\u201d said Andrew Karson, EVP\/Sports &amp; Corporate Marketing for BSE, the Nets\u2019 parent company. \u201cWe\u2019ve remained in very close contact and have a great relationship with the Biggie estate. &#8230; This was the perfect opportunity to work together again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">Nets players will debut the uniforms publicly at their annual \u201cPractice In the Park\u201d event on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Potomac Playground in Bed-Stuy, where they expect a crowd of roughly 2,000 and members of Biggie\u2019s inner circle. The uniforms contain a \u201cBED-STUY\u201d mark just above the jersey\u2019 jock tag, designed by well-known graphic artist Eric Haze and will be sold only sparsely to the public.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"NA\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/I6EUSPTTHRBEXAMJVCJHQZYRO4.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"1000\"\/>The Nets are paying tribute to Biggie&#8217;s home neighborhood of Bed-Stuy. Brooklyn Nets <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph sections-franchises \">\u201cWe are going to do somewhat limited quantities,\u201d Karson said. \u201cAgain, we want to keep this as kind of a really special high demand item. And then we\u2019ll supplement with all the ancillary collections with Nike and other licensees of City Edition.
