Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s<\/strong> late night show suspension shocked nearly everyone<\/a> \u2014 but according to his family, the drama isn\u2019t over just yet.<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s cousin Sal Iacono<\/strong> appeared on The Bill Simmons Podcast<\/a> on Monday, September 22, and said that he and his family spent some time with the late night host over the weekend. He admitted that his children, at first, \u201cfelt weird\u201d approaching Kimmel, 57, about the suspension. However, Iacono\u2019s middle son, Jack<\/strong>, who\u2019s a junior in high school, eventually told him that some of his classmates thought it was wrong that his show was suspended.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Jimmy says, \u2018Well, what did you say?\u2019 He\u2019s like, \u2018I said, yeah, I think you\u2019re right,\u2019\u201d Iacono explained. \u201cAnd Jimmy\u2019s like, \u2018Well, next time tell them, I\u2019m not too worried about what happens.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Iacono later added, \u201cI wish I could say anything. There are a couple of bombshells still there. So I\u2019m feeling good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jimmy Kimmel Live! was suspended indefinitely after Kimmel made comments surrounding the assassination of Charlie Kirk<\/a>. Kirk, a well-known conservative political activist, was shot and killed at the age of 31 on September 10 during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour.<\/p>\n

The night following his death, Kimmel criticized the \u201cextraordinarily vile responses\u201d to Kirk\u2019s murder \u201cfrom both sides of the political spectrum.\u201d However, the following week, he took aim at Donald Trump<\/strong> supporters.<\/p>\n
