Hillsborough College and locations in the Ybor harbor area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The Rays are currently in agreement to play at Tropicana Field, once repairs are complete, through the 2028 season. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 kNAFkD cuqaEv article-text\">In previous months, there had been speculation that the group could be interested in moving the Rays <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/orlando-dreamers-say-mlb-vision-still-alive-despite-rays-sale-talks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.fox35orlando.com\/news\/orlando-dreamers-say-mlb-vision-still-alive-despite-rays-sale-talks\">to Orlando<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news4jax.com\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/20\/could-the-tampa-bay-rays-end-up-moving-to-jacksonville-a-local-sports-expert-weighs-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.news4jax.com\/news\/local\/2025\/06\/20\/could-the-tampa-bay-rays-end-up-moving-to-jacksonville-a-local-sports-expert-weighs-in\/\">or even Jacksonville<\/a>, but it seems like the new ownership group is looking to maintain its 813 area code. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 kNAFkD cuqaEv article-text\">Zalupski\u2019s purchase makes the Rays the most recent Major League Baseball team to be sold, which comes about a year and a half<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/david-rubenstein-orioles-ownership-approved\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/news\/david-rubenstein-orioles-ownership-approved\"> after the Baltimore Orioles were purchased by a group led by private equity billionaire David Rubenstein<\/a> for a little over $1.7 billion. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The sale, which will require approval from the Federal Trade Commission, is expected to be formally completed this week.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2025 by WJXT News4JAX &#8211;
