During The Voice\u2018s season 28 premiere, Ralph Edwards, who\u2019d previously auditioned for the show 11 times, finally got the opportunity to perform a Blind Audition. <\/p>\n<p>While he\u2019d never made it that far in the competition before, Edwards\u2019 performance of Journey\u2019s \u201cLights\u201d was so incredible that he earned a coveted <a href=\"https:\/\/americansongwriter.com\/the-voice-coaches-on-how-theyd-fare-in-a-blind-audition-im-a-four-chair-turn-every-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">four-chair turn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought that was absolutely incredible,\u201d Niall Horan told Edwards, 30, after his time on stage. \u201cYou\u2019re a pro.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reba McEntire called Edwards\u2019 cover \u201ca perfect performance, while Michael Bubl\u00e9 insisted, \u201cWhoever you choose is going to win The Voice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Horan then chimed back in to share how his past experience competing on a show\u2014his former band, One Direction, was formed on The X Factor\u2014could help Edwards on his Voice journey.<\/p>\n<p>Snoop Dogg took his turn next, trying to woe Edwards by bringing out people he referred to as his family. Snoop works with the group of singers, writers, producers, and artists in his day-to-day life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the type of experience I want to give you,\u201d Snoop said. \u201cNot to try to get you a deal, but give you a deal with the family.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Bubl\u00e9 tried to get Edwards on-side, reminding him that he\u2019s won the show twice and is currently producing a record for a past contestant. However, Snoop snagged the singer for his team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis sound, his voice, his style, it was just unorthodox, like me,\u201d Snoop told the cameras. \u201c\u2026 I think Ralph has the potential to go all the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Snoop Dogg Opens Up About His Return to The Voice<\/p>\n<p>Chatting in a video posted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xJA6O0B4vWA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouTube<\/a> by The Voice, Snoop shared what he enjoys most about the experience of the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m having too much fun,\u201d he said. \u201cI knew I was going to have fun when they said Michael and Reba was back \u2019cause we already got a chemistry, but Niall, me and him connected like peanut butter and jelly.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the family side of The Voice,\u201d Snoop added. \u201cThat\u2019s what I love about being here, the family between the coaches and the family you make when you build your team, the family with the crew, with the people that\u2019s just here every day. I make it fun wherever I work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not all about fun for Snoop, though, as he promised, \u201cI was the Rookie of the Year season 26, but I didn\u2019t get the hardware.
