Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, will bring the Breakthrough T1D Walk back to San Antonio. The signature community event unites over 3,000 participants in a movement to fund life-changing research, advocacy, and support for the 1.9 million Americans living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).<\/p>\n
T1D is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect anyone at any age. In T1D, the body\u2019s immune system attacks insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. People living with T1D rely on insulin via injection or pump to survive.
