College basketball has officially tipped off on Monday as practice has begun. With a completely new roster, Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have one assignment for this season: Go and win championship No. 9.<\/p>\n
Well that is something that The Field of 68 believes can happen, especially with a backcourt as talented as Jaland Lowe and Otega Oweh.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, they are,\u201d The Field of 68\u2019s Terrence Oglesby said when asked if a backcourt is good enough to lead the Wildcats to a title. \u201cThey\u2019re good enough to win a national title.\u201d<\/p>\n
John Fanta also agrees with Oglesby but, as many do, says the frontcourt remains a major question mark.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey can. They\u2019re good enough,\u201d Fanta said. \u201cThe question for me isn\u2019t Kentucky\u2019s backcourt, it\u2019s Kentucky\u2019s frontcourt. It\u2019s just a matter of can Kentucky\u2019s frontcourt be able to do their job. They\u2019re gonna be a backcourt-oriented team.\u201d<\/p>\n
Alongside Lowe and Oweh the Cats also have veteran players like Denzel Aberdeen and Collin Chandler that should be fantastic with the build of this roster. Add in a player with the ceiling of Jasper Johnson, and it should be a fun season in Lexington.<\/p>\n
