Suzuki is also behind the standing Italian wine bar,<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2014\/04\/02\/meet-the-quirky-tokyo-native-behind-beloved-basta-pasta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Bar B<\/a>, that opened over a decade ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">While the announcement did not go into detail about reasons for the closure, Basta Pasta\u2019s website emphasizes that \u201cthe spirit of Basta Pasta will live on\u201d somewhere else, and hints at future possibilities.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bastapastaristorante\/?hl=en&amp;utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <\/a>The news marks another chapter in the shifting landscape of New York dining, where longtime eateries are under increasing pressure from rising costs, changing consumer habits, and competition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOuZbEVkeLb\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arties Steak and Seafood<\/a> in the Bronx also announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOuZbEVkeLb\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on social media<\/a> that it\u2019s closing at the end of the month on Sunday, September 28, as owner Spiros Chagares retires. The Bronx restaurant has been open for 30 years on City Island.<\/p>\n<p>A 90-year-old nonna has a new venue to make pasta<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DOo_AvZEjQp\/?igsh=MXIxaG93b20zbTM3bw%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nonna Dora\u2019s<\/a> has opened its <a href=\"https:\/\/resy.com\/cities\/new-york-ny\/venues\/nonna-doras-tribeca?seats=2&amp;date=2025-09-23\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second location<\/a> at 200 Church Street, between Thomas and Duane streets, taking over the former Tribeca Kitchen space.The nearly 90-year-old Addolorata \u201cNonna Dora\u201d Marzovilla ( who has a dedicated place to make pasta in the new location) and her son, Nicola Marzovilla, first launched Nonna Dora\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/01\/dining\/nyc-restaurant-openings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in 2022<\/a>, drawing acclaim for its wide variety of pastas.
