Despite being considered undersized for a defensive tackle, Glover brought elite quickness, technique, and leadership to the middle of the Cowboys’ defense. He made the Pro Bowl in each of his four seasons in Dallas and served as a team captain, anchoring a defensive unit that steadily improved under head coach Bill Parcells.

Best known for:
Glover was best known for his disruptive play on the interior defensive line, earning four straight Pro Bowl selections.

Lesser known fact:
Glover earned a degree in sociology and was known for his intellectual approach to the game, often helping younger teammates study film and understand blocking schemes with a level of detail that mirrored a coach’s mindset. He would go on to become St. Louis Rams Director of Player Engagement and in 2019 became the Los Angeles Chargers defensive line coach.

We’re counting down the days until the Dallas Cowboys battle the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener of…

[5135
5229,7316,7317,7312,7311,1596,7318,2385,204,22362,2961,7313,22361,5950,358,448,447,3187,67,586,132,5230,68,2969
0":"post-25008","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-dallas","8":"tag-america","9":"tag-blogging","10":"tag-boys","11":"tag-countdown","12":"tag-cowboys","13":"tag-dallas","14":"tag-dallas-cowboys-history","15":"tag-day","16":"tag-front-page","17":"tag-glover","18":"tag-la","19":"tag-opener","20":"tag-roi","21":"tag-season","22":"tag-texas","23":"tag-the","24":"tag-to","25":"tag-tx","26":"tag-united-states","27":"tag-united-states-of-america","28":"tag-unitedstates","29":"tag-unitedstatesofamerica","30":"tag-us","31":"tag-usa
["GET
