They\u2019re eye-watering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A four-bedroom Farmingdale house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/1349349134745591980?source_impression_id=p3_1758651672_P35v7VJ09cWEKvLV&amp;check_in=2025-09-29&amp;guests=1&amp;adults=1&amp;check_out=2025-10-04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">listed on Airbnb <\/a>within walking distance of the course is listed for more than $25,000 for five nights. Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/1423993921315949070?productId=1423993921315949070&amp;check_in=2025-09-24&amp;check_out=2025-09-25&amp;guests=3&amp;adults=3&amp;children=0&amp;infants=0&amp;pets=0&amp;source_impression_id=p3_1758657130_P3T4cj_lktvSTHJ-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">three-bedroom<\/a>, just 6 miles away, is asking more than $34,000 for the week.<\/p>\n<p>Homeowners near Bethpage Black are seeing Ryder Cup week turn into a windfall, with rentals ranging from $25,000 to more than $50,000 for just a few nights.  AP<\/p>\n<p>This four-bedroom home within walking distance to the golf course runs $25,000 for five nights.  Airbnb<\/p>\n<p>Even Airbnbs farther afield are cashing in: a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/1177766888194236460?source_impression_id=p3_1758651160_P3Dx_0_51AKGI0c8&amp;check_in=2025-09-25&amp;guests=5&amp;adults=5&amp;check_out=2025-09-29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Northport property<\/a> with four bedrooms and an attached apartment is $16,000 for four nights, while a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airbnb.com\/rooms\/1487338871759435176?source_impression_id=p3_1758651637_P3feStwGK03KNYAA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">10-person home in Westbury<\/a> is tagged at nearly $20,000 for Ryder Cup weekend.<\/p>\n<p>One Bethpage listing, for its part, is pushing close to $30,000 for just four nights. Made up of five bedrooms and three baths, the home is about a mile from Bethpage Black.<\/p>\n<p>There are other associated costs, to boot. <\/p>\n<p>Entering Bethpage Black for one of the main match days now costs about $750 for a single-day badge, which includes unlimited food and non-alcoholic beverages. Practice days aren\u2019t cheap either \u2014 Tuesday and Wednesday run about $255 each, and Thursday, which includes opening ceremonies, is set around $424. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A four-bedroom home in Northport runs $16,000 for four nights, despite the commute to the golf course taking about an hour with traffic, sources said. Airbnb<\/p>\n<p>At least for local residents, they\u2019re surely raking it in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a number that definitely made it worth it,\u201d Plainview\u2019s Matt Lenner, who rented his home through a hospitality company, told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/greaterlongisland.com\/long-islanders-are-renting-homes-for-the-ryder-cup-at-25000-and-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Greater Long Island.<\/a> \u201cMy daughter is having her Bat Mitzvah this year and my son just started college, so this extra cash is nice.\u201d His wife was hesitant at first, but, as he put it, \u201cmoney talks.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Others are seizing the opportunity simply because they don\u2019t care for golf.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were never going to the Ryder Cup anyway, so it\u2019s not like we\u2019re missing out by not being here,\u201d Sarah Bogaty of Plainview, who is taking her family to Florida after securing a renter, added. <\/p>\n<p>Neither Lenner nor Bogaty revealed the exact amounts they secured, but both acknowledged the deals fell within the sky-high range local homes are commanding \u2014\u00a0from the mid-$20,000s to well above $30,000 for the week. <\/p>\n<p>Over 250,000 people are expected to attend the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black over the course of the week.  Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>A three-bedroom home 10 minutes away from Bethpage Black is asking $34,000 for the week.  Airbnb<\/p>\n<p>On the smaller scale, when it comes to precious parking space, Farmingdale resident Ken Amato told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/ryder-cup-2025-bethpage-black-farmingdale-driveway-home-rentals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CBS News<\/a>: \u201cI will open my driveway up. People will rent it for the day. They can walk. We are close enough. It should be fun.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Amato did not disclose how much he would be renting his driveway for.\u00a0(Down the block, retirees Alfonso and Giusephina Saccone figure they can get $100 a day for theirs.)<\/p>\n<p>Al Iaquinta, a Wantagh-based realtor, told The Post that so many places have been booked a year in advance, when prices were \u201cregular.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut now because there\u2019s so many people coming last minute, people can charge whatever they want,\u201d Iaquinta said. \u201cI\u2019ve seen listings for $50K for the week,\u201d adding that the golf clientele are particularly willing to pay high prices for the once-in-a-lifetime experience.<\/p>\n<p>Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley surprises golfers l to r: Joey Selby, Spencer Towse (background), Jack Towse and Sam Towse with tickets to the tournament at Bethpage Golf Club, Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, in Farmingdale, New York. Corey Sipkin for the NY POST<\/p>\n<p>Realtor Stephen Gaon said the price range for homes is staggering.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwenty thousand dollars for the week to up over $60,000 for the week of the Ryder Cup,\u201d he said, adding that much of the demand is corporate. \u201cCorporate sponsors are setting up their executives and high-level clients, and would rather rent private homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The supply crunch explains it. According to Discover Long Island, more than 12,000 hotel rooms across the region are already booked. Sharon Wyman, the group\u2019s chief operating officer, called it \u201cunprecedented demand,\u201d adding, \u201cSeeing rooms booked east of Bethpage is tremendous for Suffolk County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some spectators got quite lucky. Collyn Taylor, visiting with his wife from South Carolina, didn\u2019t have to spend a dime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have an aunt here so we\u2019ve just been staying with her \u2014 we hit the lottery,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>And not every visitor is paying an exorbitant sum to take in the event. Chicagoan Chris Nelson, also visiting with his wife, has a $350-per-night Airbnb 45 minutes away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can see if it\u2019s a once-in-a-lifetime thing with a group of friends \u2014 but we\u2019re not in the market for that,\u201d he said of paying those princely sums.<\/p>\n<p>The Ryder Cup, often likened to a mix of the World Series and the Super Bowl, will bring an estimated 50,000 spectators each day. Organizers warn parking will be near impossible; driveways and trains are expected to be the real ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond full house rentals, some Farmingdale residents are even turning their driveways into prime real estate, charging up to $100 a day for parking within walking distance of the course.  Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The Lenners still haven\u2019t decided where they\u2019ll spend the week while strangers take over their home. For them, the trade-off is clear.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s the worst that can happen?
