Weezer<\/a> brought huge nostalgic \u201890s sing-alongs to the Other Stage at Glastonbury 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The California band played to a packed Other Stage crowd bathed in sunshine this afternoon (June 28), their first appearance at Worthy Farm since their debut on the NME Stage in 1995.<\/p>\n

With Beabadoobee<\/a> watching on from the side of stage, Weezer drew singalongs from the crowd from opener \u2018Hash Pipe\u2019 onwards, while Brian Bell\u2019s scorching guitar solos had heads rocking.<\/p>\n

\u201cGlastonbury, you ready for Weezer time?\u201d frontman Rivers Cuomo<\/a> said in a rare crowd interaction after \u2018My Name Is Jonas\u2019, before introducing the band. \u201cNice to meet y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tracks from the band\u2019s self-titled debut album \u2013 commonly referred to as \u2018The Blue Album\u2019 \u2013 dominated the set, with deep cuts such as \u2018Surf Wax America\u2019, \u2018Holiday\u2019 and \u2018No One Else\u2019 getting an airing, likely owing to the fact that they took the album on a 30th anniversary tour last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rattling off 16 tracks in less than an hour, die hard fans were treated to the \u2018Pinkerton\u2019-era B-side \u2018You Gave Your Love To Me Softly\u2019, while the band closed out the show with big hitters \u2018Say It Ain\u2019t So\u2019 and \u2018Buddy Holly\u2019.<\/p>\n

So far, Glastonbury has seen a\u00a0surprise set from Lorde \u2013 who performed her new album \u2018Virgin\u2019 in full<\/a>\u00a0(and scored a five star review in the process<\/a>), a spunky set from Wet Leg<\/a>,\u00a0Lewis Capaldi\u2019s triumphant return for a secret set at the Pyramid Stage<\/a>, a\u00a0surprise appearance by Peter Capaldi at Franz Ferdinand\u2019s set<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n

The 1975<\/a>\u00a0headlined the Pyramid Stage last night (June 27), earning\u00a0a four-star review<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0NME,\u00a0which read: \u201cWith\u00a0their one show of the year<\/a>, \u201cThe 1975 from the Internet\u201d clear the decks on their career so far to deliver a reminder of their chops for tunes and showmanship away from the headlines.\u201d<\/p>\n
