Arne Slot<\/a> has admitted that he was \u201cfar from happy with a few individual performances,\u201d despite Liverpool beating Southampton<\/a> 2-1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The head coach made 11 changes to the team that beat Everton<\/a>, and he selected a young set of substitutes with five academy players on the bench.<\/p>\n

It might have come as no surprise then that his side looked less than fluent, in the first half especially, but the boss still expected more.<\/p>\n

Two men who did perform well, though, were Andy Robertson<\/a> and Federico Chiesa<\/a>. He used them as an example for others to follow.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Referring to the Italian\u2019s second assist of the night, Slot said: \u201cIt wasn\u2019t a coincidence again that he was the man that made a deep run. <\/p>\n

\u201cGreat ball by Robbo by the way, who also has won so much at this club and also understands how to play this game: not underestimate it, just always be ready to play. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s also the way to get yourself either back in the team or get as much playing minutes as you want. <\/p>\n

Asked if he would elaborate on who he was \u201cfar from happy with,\u201d Slot replied: \u201cNo, but I think these players who I mean, I think they know already.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was needless, yes, and it was stupid, yep,\u201d Slot said of the Frenchman\u2019s dismissal \u2013 the first booking came after he kicked the ball away in frustration.<\/p>\n

Also potentially in for a dressing down was Jeremie Frimpong<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The right-back has looked promising in his previous showings since signing from Bayer Leverkusen<\/a>, but Tuesday night saw him put in a poor performance.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old was FotMob<\/a>\u2018s lowest-rated Liverpool player at 6.3 out of 10, as he managed zero defensive contributions and lost four duels while winning just one.<\/p>\n

For Liverpool\u2019s match against Crystal Palace<\/a>, Conor Bradley<\/a> should return to the starting XI, while it will likely be Alexander Isak<\/a> to replace Ekitike in the starting lineup. <\/p>\n

If Slot doesn\u2019t deem Isak fit to start, however, Federico Chiesa<\/a> could be given a chance through the middle after his strong performance in midweek. <\/p>\n
