{"id":251474,"date":"2025-09-24T16:24:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T16:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/251474\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T16:24:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T16:24:11","slug":"jannik-sinner-says-hes-been-given-a-huge-privilege-after-adding-a-new-member-of-staff-to-his-coaching-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/251474\/","title":{"rendered":"Jannik Sinner says he&#8217;s been given a &#8216;huge privilege&#8217; after adding a new member of staff to his coaching team"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Jannik Sinner returns to the ATP Tour this week at the China Open, marking his first appearance since the US Open.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/jannik-sinner-sends-message-to-carlos-alcaraz-on-social-media-after-losing-to-him-in-the-us-open-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinner lost the US Open final to Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> earlier this month, falling short of a fifth career Grand Slam title in New York.<\/p>\n<p>He also lost his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP<\/a> number one ranking to the Spaniard, who continues his season at this week\u2019s Japan Open in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz is the top seed at the ATP 500 tournament, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/jannik-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sinner<\/a> occupying the same status at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/atp-china-open-2025-prize-money-schedule-where-to-watch-and-everything-you-need-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian meets Marin Cilic in his first match in Beijing, where he lost the 2024 final to his closest rival Alcaraz.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2176339990-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner pose with their trophies after the 2024 China Open final\" class=\"wp-image-92338\" \/>Photo by Tian Yuhao\/China News Service\/VCG via Getty ImagesJannik Sinner honored after adding new member of staff to his coaching team<\/p>\n<p>And Sinner has a new team member by his side for this year\u2019s tournament, having hired Alejandro Resnicoff as his permanent physio.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of his preparation for Beijing amid the hire, Sinner said: \u201cLook, no specific changes. I mean, on the court we are changing a lot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOff the court is more or less the same. He also respects how we are as a team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not that he comes in and he\u2019s changing everything. If he sees that we have or could potentially improve something for my body, he\u2019s here to help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is how it works. But it also takes time. I\u2019ve worked with him a little bit in the years when I didn\u2019t have my physio. He\u2019s super, super experienced. A very honest person, nice and kind person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also has a family at home. He has a nice situation also off work.
