The Wings Over Houston Airshow, one of the region\u2019s largest annual events, will return to Ellington Airport on Oct. 18\u201319, 2025. For more than four decades, the airshow has been a tradition for Houston and the surrounding communities, drawing families and aviation enthusiasts from across the world. This year\u2019s show will feature the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the two only airworthy B-29 bombers and a broad selection of modern and historic aircraft. Attendees also will be able to experience exhibits and interactive displays presented by aviation organizations and industry partners, including United Airlines, the show\u2019s exclusive airline sponsor. \u201cOur goal each year is to celebrate both legacy and innovation\u2014honoring the past while inspiring the future,\u201d said Bill Roach, Executive Director of WOHA. \u201cThis year, we are thrilled to showcase two B-29s flying together, a rare and moving tribute to the aircraft that helped end World War II 80 years ago. Just as powerful, audiences will also see today\u2019s cutting-edge aircraft that continue to protect our nation. We can\u2019t wait to share a weekend filled with high-flying performances, engaging displays, and the incredible energy of our guests, performers, and volunteers who bring the airshow to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2025 airshow will showcase hours of aerial performances, vintage aviation displays, interactive areas for children and adults, opportunities for guests to give back to the community, and more. Other special elements of this year\u2019s airshow include the Legends & Heroes tent and the Veterans Business Marketplace presented by Walmart.<\/p>\n

In celebration of the upcoming show and in partnership with renowned aerobatic pilot Debby Rihn-Harvey, WOHA awarded $24,000 in scholarships to 10 Texas and Oklahoma high school and college students pursuing aviation careers earlier this summer. Each recipient will receive up to $5,000 to support their education and will be recognized on-site during the show.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Thunderbirds and B-29s, the show will feature the RE\/MAX Skydiving Team, Tora! Tora! Tora!, and a U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue demonstration. Static displays are set to feature the C-17 Globemaster, a United Airlines 737, and C-5M Super Galaxy, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. Gates open at 8AM and close at 5PM on Saturday and Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
