Padraig Harrington got into it with NBC analyst and longtime PGA golfer Roger Maltbie on Friday.<\/p>\n
The incident, which happened midway through the U.S. Senior Open, was seemingly over Harrington taking offense from Maltbie not helping his group look for a lost golf ball.<\/p>\n
\u201cNever on a golf course stand and look at somebody looking for a golf ball,\u201d Harrington said in the video.<\/p>\n

Sounds like Harrington, who\u2019s tied for first, wasn\u2019t happy with where Maltbie stood. But Maltbie wasn\u2019t having it either.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a hard position to take there,\u201d Maltbie responded.<\/p>\n
The two then stepped closer to each other and continued to argue, and Harrington was heard telling Maltbie, \u201cYou\u2019ve played golf all your life. You understand.\u201d<\/p>\n
At one point during the argument, Maltbie says, \u201cI\u2019m not a player,\u201d to Harrington.<\/p>\n
Maltbie, 73, played on the PGA Tour for over 20 years, winning five tournaments before making the switch to broadcasting in 1991.<\/p>\n

Harrington\u2019s caddie, Ronan Flood, tried to step in to quell the altercation, but was ultimately unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
After some more banter, Harrington eventually walked away from Maltbie, ending the interaction.<\/p>\n
Going into Saturday, Harrington, 53, is tied for the lead alongside partner Stewart Cink with the two and Australian golfer Mark Hensby at 6-under.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf anything, he\u2019d be a little bit longer than me,\u201d Harrington said of Cink on Friday<\/a>. \u201cBut I suppose I know his game enough that I can see what\u2019s happening, as well. He is definitely a partner I would choose to play with.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cink, who is playing in his first U.S. Senior Open, hit all 18 greens in regulation on Friday, a stat that he has called overrated.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t want to be chipping downhill on this course, it\u2019s not a secret,\u201d said the 52-year-old Cink.<\/p>\n
