{"id":252169,"date":"2025-09-24T22:48:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T22:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/252169\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T22:48:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T22:48:09","slug":"man-utd-ratcliffe-notably-unhappy-over-amorim-system-frustration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/252169\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Utd: Ratcliffe &#8216;notably unhappy&#8217; over Amorim system &#8216;frustration&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS bosses are \u2018notably unhappy\u2019 with the \u2018frustration\u2019 over Ruben Amorim\u2019s contentious system and philosophy at Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>Amorim relieved the pressure through a 2-1 victory over Chelsea last time out but there are still widespread concerns over his 3-4-3 formation at Old Trafford, and ahead of that win it was claimed he was \u2018losing the confidence of the dressing room\u2019, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/opinon-amorim-losing-man-utd-dressing-room-senior-players-signal-beginning-of-the-end\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with \u2018senior players\u2019 questioning his tactics<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ratcliffe was at Carrington to meet with Amorim ahead of Sunday\u2019s game, with Amorim joking that he was there to offer him a new deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew contract, he was offering me a new contract,\u201d Amorim said in his press conference when asked about Ratcliffe\u2019s visit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, it\u2019s normal things, just to show the support, explaining that it\u2019s a long project. He said many times, \u2018This is my third season.\u2019 For me, it\u2019s not. Jason Wilcox has fully bought into his approach, and the squad is being shaped in Amorim\u2019s image. There\u2019s little point in cancelling the experiment now \u2014 that would set the club back even further.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the report adds that \u2018Ratcliffe and his lieutenants are notably unhappy with the number of leaks around players voicing their frustration with Amorim\u2019s system\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Journalist Ben Jacobs gave an update on Wednesday, from what he\u2019s heard, on Amorim\u2019s future at Man Utd.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/man-utd-toppmoller-frankfurt-wants-amorim-job-finalise-sack-preparations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He said<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0\u201cThere is certainly appreciation for names like Oliver Glasner, but the sign that Amorim is still being backed is that there has been no outreach yet. There\u2019s been no shortlisting yet. There hasn\u2019t even, to my knowledge, been any succession planning yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cManchester United still want to try and make it work with Ruben Amorim.
