(WTHI) \u2014 A pilot program will soon be introduced in Terre Haute to reduce the number of crows visiting the downtown area during winter.<\/p>\n<p>The Vigo County Capital Improvement Board funded a nearly $4,000 study on crows late last year. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce collaborated with local businesses and Wild Goose Chase, a company specializing in crow management.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the company&#8217;s recommendations, the board will purchase an automated laser system for about $18,000. The system aims to scare off crows without harming them.<\/p>\n<p>Wild Goose Chase will monitor the laser&#8217;s effectiveness and suggest other methods for areas where the laser may not work as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"TERRE HAUTE, Ind.
