A shooter with a rifle opened fire from a nearby roof onto a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement location in Dallas on Wednesday, killing one detainee and wounding two others<\/a> before taking his own life, authorities said.<\/p>\n

In a post on his social media site, President Donald Trump<\/a> said he\u2019d been briefed on the shooting and that \u201cthe deranged shooter wrote \u201cAnti-ICE\u201d on his shell casings. This is despicable!\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump didn\u2019t mention the victims, though, instead he wrote, \u201cCALLING ON ALL DEMOCRATS TO STOP THIS RHETORIC AGAINST ICE AND AMERICA\u2019S LAW ENFORCEMENT, RIGHT NOW!\u201d<\/p>\n

The exact motivation of the attack was not immediately known, and no ICE agents were reported injured. The attack is the latest public, targeted killing in the U.S. and comes two weeks after conservative leader Charlie Kirk was killed<\/a> in Utah by a rifle-wielding shooter on a roof.<\/p>\n
