{"id":256325,"date":"2025-09-26T14:43:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T14:43:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/256325\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T14:43:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T14:43:15","slug":"where-freeways-are-closed-over-weekend-of-sept-26-29-in-metro-phoenix-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/256325\/","title":{"rendered":"Where freeways are closed over weekend of Sept. 26-29 in metro Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In addition to the possibility of rain this weekend, metro Phoenix motorists will have to contend with some planned freeway road closures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Schedules are subject to change due to rain,&#8221; read a statement by the Arizona Department of Transportation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The department plans and constructs new freeways, additional lanes and other improvements in the Phoenix area as part of the Regional Transportation Plan for the Maricopa County region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">For real-time highway conditions, drivers should check\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/az511.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:az511.gov;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">az511.gov<\/a>, the az511 app or call 511.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Here are the scheduled closures for Sept. 26-29, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Scheduled freeway closures in metro Phoenix for the weekend of Sept. 26-29, 2025.\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"742\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/515443d46bda121336848d9a1d9c141e.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Scheduled freeway closures in metro Phoenix for the weekend of Sept. 26-29, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Northbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>When:<\/strong> 10 p.m. Sept. 26 to 5 a.m. Sept. 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Where:<\/strong> Closed between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive\/Pima Road in Scottsdale; on-ramps at Via De Ventura and 90th Street will also be closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Why:<\/strong> Widening project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Detours:<\/strong> Consider alternate routes, including westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to northbound State Route 51 to reach Loop 101.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Also:<\/strong> The southbound Loop 101 frontage road will be closed from 9 p.m. Sept. 26 to 10 a.m. Sept. 27 between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive for sign work.<\/p>\n<p>Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>When:<\/strong> 10 p.m. Sept. 26 to 5 a.m. Sept. 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Where:<\/strong> Closed between Arizona Avenue and Price Road in Chandler; on-ramps at Gilbert, Cooper and McQueen roads will also be closed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Why:<\/strong> For bridge work as part of a widening project.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><strong>Detours:<\/strong> Alternate routes include westbound U.S. 60 (Superstition Freeway).
