Surveillance video obtained by Fox News shows the chaotic moments when ICE agents took cover and protected detainees as gunfire rained down on them from outside a\u00a0Dallas facility\u00a0on Wednesday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video shows agents ducking for cover in front of two white vans while quickly shuffling detainees inside the facility, where an\u00a0ICE agent\u00a0frantically guides the detainees down a hallway. One handcuffed prisoner appeared to be bleeding from his head.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter, six agents exited the facility and made their way towards one of the vans. Two men ducked behind the van as an agent wearing full tactical gear opened the driver\u2019s side door and looked into the rear of the vehicle. The second man, wearing blue rubber medical gloves, later did the same and motioned for help.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Authorities said Joshua Jahn<\/a>, 29, indiscriminately shot at the facility from a nearby rooftop<\/a> in what has been described as a \u201ctargeted attack\u201d on federal law enforcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One detainee was killed<\/a>, and two others were wounded during the mayhem.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jahn died from a self-inflicted<\/a> gunshot wound. On Thursday,\u00a0the FBI\u00a0shared information about his possible motive.\u00a0<\/p>\n

FBI Director Kash Patel said Jahn downloaded a document before the shooting, titled \u201cDallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management,\u201d which contained a list of DHS facilities.<\/p>\n

A sordid online search history revealed that the gunman had recently searched for information on ballistics and the term \u201cCharlie Kirk Shot Video\u201d on Sept. 23\u201324.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In August, Jahn searched for apps<\/a> that tracked the movement of ICE agents, according to the FBI.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He also left a note behind that said, \u201cHopefully this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, \u2018is there a sniper with AP rounds on that roof?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAP\u201d is a common acronym in the gun community that stands for \u201carmor piercing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

A photo posted to X by Patel showed four bullets, one with \u201cANTI-ICE\u201d written on the casing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The agents crouched down as the shooter, Joshua Jahn, unloaded his rifle from a sniper\u2019s nest. Federal Surveillance Footage<\/p>\n

Nancy Larson, acting U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas, told reporters Thursday that the shooting was the third violent attack or threat at ICE facilities during her four months in the role.<\/p>\n
