A first for the 50 Best\u00a0brand, the inaugural listing considered restaurants from across the continent, including the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. And for the first time out of the gate, a New York restaurant nabbed the top honor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The number one spot for North America\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants went to the fine Korean restaurant, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/atomix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atomix<\/a>. The Nomad area restaurant, led by couple JP and Ellia Park, was recognized for its \u201cwell-paced 12-course tasting menu of Korean-based plates, featuring world-class flavour and texture combinations.\u201d The publication went on to note that the restaurant\u2019s combination of food, drink and design set to \u201cforge a new narrative for Korean cuisine across the globe.\u201d This only adds to a series of accolades for Atomix as the restaurant is currently ranked <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/only-one-new-york-restaurant-made-it-on-the-worlds-50-best-restaurants-list-062425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">number 12 on the World\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants<\/a>, the highest North American restaurant on the list.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"85dff9aa-1bb5-c22c-a98b-b95dae7fd5c7\" class=\"photo lazy inline\" loading=\"lazy\" data-component=\"lazy-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1758917232_584_image.webp.webp\" alt=\"Wooden walls and a marble counter at Atomix\" data-caption=\"| Interior of Atomix\" data-credit=\"Photograph: Courtesy of Diane Kang\" data-width-class=\"\" data-image-id=\"106324098\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\nPhotograph: Courtesy of Diane Kang| Interior of Atomix&#13;<\/p>\n<p>But that\u2019s not all. New York dominated the listing with 13 restaurants in total, including Atomix, topping the list. Number nine and ten went to top French restaurants of the scene: Eric Ripert\u2019s <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.le-bernardin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Le Bernardin<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/le-veau-dor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Le Veau d\u2019Or<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/one-of-new-yorks-oldest-operating-french-restaurants-has-reopened-on-the-upper-east-side-071924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the recently revived restaurant by Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson<\/a>. Williamsburg&#8217;s critically acclaimed wine bar <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fourhorsemenbk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Four Horsemen<\/a><\/strong> ranked at number 15 and Jody Williams and Rita Sodi\u2019s simplistic yet impossibly hard to get into Italian restaurant, <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/via-carota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Via Carota<\/a><\/strong>, ranked number 18. Chef Atsushi \u201cATS\u201d Kono\u2019s Japanese yakitori offerings at <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yakitorikono.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kono<\/a><\/strong> took the 23rd spot, followed by Fredrik Berselius\u2019s Nordic cuisine at<strong> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.askanyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Aska<\/a><\/strong> who came in at 24.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/restaurants\/saga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saga<\/a><\/strong>, who is now <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/two-michelin-starred-saga-reopens-after-tragedy-with-chef-charlie-mitchell-debuting-new-menu-090225\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">led by Charlie Mitchell<\/a>, took number 33 and <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jungsik.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jungsik<\/a><\/strong>, the first Korean restaurant in the U.S. to receive the <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/newyork\/news\/one-of-new-yorks-top-korean-restaurants-was-awarded-three-michelin-stars-121024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">three stars from the Michelin Guide<\/a>, came in at 35. Northern Mexican cuisine from Fidel Caballero\u2019s <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.corimanyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Corima<\/a><\/strong> came in at 36, while C\u00e9sar Ramirez eponymously named restaurant, <strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cesar.restaurant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">C\u00e9sar<\/a><\/strong>, grabbed number 38.
