{"id":257302,"date":"2025-09-26T23:45:15","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T23:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/257302\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T23:45:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T23:45:15","slug":"waymo-suspends-service-across-metro-phoenix-due-to-flash-flooding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/257302\/","title":{"rendered":"Waymo suspends service across metro Phoenix due to flash flooding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Self-driving rideshare service Waymo is suspending service in the Valley as the region is pummeled with heavy rain, resulting in patches of flash flooding on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">The metro area has seen major delays on freeways and at Phoenix Sky Harbor as storms cause torrential rain in several neighborhoods and fill up washes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Social media posts have <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LegalRobert\/status\/1971685927065190876\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LegalRobert\/status\/1971685927065190876\">showed instances<\/a> of the autonomous SUVs getting stuck in floodwaters, particularly in central Phoenix, where severe thunderstorms were reported.
