Denny Hamlin<\/a> was a man of few words on Saturday morning at Kansas Speedway when asked about where things stand with Ty Gibbs<\/a> and Joe Gibbs Racing<\/a> after the much-ballyhooed incident last week at New Hampshire.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI think (we\u2019re) in a good place,\u201d Hamlin said. \u201cYou know, we had some meetings this week. I thought they were productive meetings but obviously, the guts of that, were obviously going to need to be confidential.\u201d<\/p>\n

No elaboration at all? Hamlin shook his head.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot exactly what you were looking for, I\u2019m sure,\u201d Hamlin said with a light chuckle to the room.<\/p>\n

Then Hamlin was asked if all the drivers in the room had a chance to speak. After all, it wasn\u2019t just Hamlin versus Gibbs, and an incident that sent the latter around and into the wall. Gibbs was holding up Christopher Bell<\/a> and raced him just as hard and that is what allowed Hamlin to catch them both in the first place.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the drivers had an opportunity to speak and come up with a plan and I think we did our best to come up with one,\u201d Hamlin said.<\/p>\n

And then silence.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s it. That\u2019s all I have.\u201d<\/p>\n

With all that said, Hamlin admitted he \u2018certainly\u2019 and \u2018absolutely\u2019 wishes he had done some things differently.<\/p>\n
