Christopher Sadowski<\/p>\n<p>His \u201cNo City Tax on Tips\u201d plan would mirror a provision in President Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cOne Big Beautiful Bill,\u201d signed into law in July that <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/09\/01\/us-news\/here-are-the-list-of-jobs-that-qualify-for-president-trumps-no-tax-on-tips\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eliminates federal income taxes on tips for a wide variety for jobs ranging from waitresses to golf caddies. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sliwa said his proposal to provide $500 rebates to people who can prove they have a home, co-op and condo in NYC that is their primary residence would be paid for through the city budget. Like his \u201cNo City Tax on Tips\u201d plan, it would also need state approval.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The rebates would be comparable to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibo.nyc.ny.us\/iboreports\/StarConferencePaper.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">state\u2019s School Tax Relief (STAR) program<\/a>, which provides tax savings to seniors living on fixed incomes.<\/p>\n<p>Sliwa said he\u2019d fund the \u201cMoney In Your Pocket\u201d initiative during his first year as mayor by auditing each city agency and cutting government waste and would then lobby state legislators to help permanently fund it in future yearly budgets.<\/p>\n<p>Sliwa\u2019s \u201ccity mobility rebate\u201d would provide one person per household 10% back on yearly \u201ccongestion\u201d tolls to enter Manhattan below 60th Street, capped at $500. Christopher Sadowski<\/p>\n<p>He believes the DOE \u2014 which has a $41 billion budget and is projected to spend a record-breaking $42,000 per pupil this academic year \u2014 has the most fat to cut, especially \u201chigh-priced deputy chancellors and other execs\u201d who do repetitive work.<\/p>\n<p>Sliwa is polling a distant third in the mayor\u2019s race behind Mamdani and former Gov.
