SAN ANTONIO \u2014 The San Antonio Police Department has released body-cam video and audio of 911 calls of a deadly officer involved shooting in August that resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man.<\/p>\n

Officers were called around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 to the 800 block of Cherry Street for reports of an individual shooting a shotgun and pointing the gun at people in the area.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived shortly after and established a perimeter around the suspect\u2019s home. Police say the suspect opened a side door and aimed the shotgun in the officer\u2019s direction. Five officers then fired their weapons, striking the suspect, identified as Jaime Gonzalez. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

SAPD says the officers involved have approximately 5 to 7 years of service with the department and will be placed on administrative duty until further notice. SAPD identified the officers involved as Officer Tyler Brown, 7 years of service, Officer Marco Trevino, 5 years of service, Officer Matthew Olivares, 5 years of service, Officer Joseph Orozco, 7 years of service,, and Officer Steven Flores, 6 years of service.<\/p>\n

The SAPD Shooting Team and the Internal Affairs Unit will conduct separate but concurrent inquiries.
