Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The concert followed the Australian quartet\u2019s announcement of a new forthcoming album <\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/DSC01522-Enhanced-NR-Edit-scaled-400xauto.webp.webp\" alt=\"5 Seconds of Summer Sept. 24, 2025\" class=\"wp-image-83424\" style=\"object-position: 50% 50%;\"  \/>Credit: Andy DeLuca<\/p>\n<p>As teen rockers, pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer never cared for being called a boyband.\u00a0But just over a decade later \u2014 a string of No.1 albums, a slew of chart-topping tracks and solo projects under the belt \u2014 Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin are embracing the label. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 24, the Aussie group officially reemerged with its first new music since 2022\u2019s 5SOS5. Whispers of a return began the day before when the band\u2019s Instagram was wiped clean, save for a carousel of <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DO82ldJkRH2\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\">images<\/a> that began with \u201c5SOS are breaking up?? Click here for proof.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Equipped with a\u00a0new look that lands somewhere between goth-punk and \u201890s boyband extravagance, <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/5sos.com\/\">5 Seconds of Summer<\/a> ignited its new album cycle with the release of \u201cNot Ok,\u201d an arena-ready track that puts instrumental showmanship and rockstar bravado front and center. The lead single gives a taste of what\u2019s to come on the rest of the album, Everyone\u2019s a Star!, out on Nov. 14 through Republic Records. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/DSC00014-Enhanced-NR-scaled-400xauto.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83415\" style=\"object-position: 50% 50%;\"  \/>Credit: Andy DeLuca<\/p>\n<p>With its well-honed boyband powers, 5SOS ignited the fan bat signal and announced a free show in West Hollywood just a few hours before showtime. First come, first served, No RSVP. The girls (and some guys) came running, looping Olive Drive and down Sunset Boulevard with the hopes of being one of the lucky crowd members. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/DSC00058-Enhanced-NR-scaled-400xauto.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83416\" style=\"object-position: 50% 50%;\"  \/>Credit: Andy DeLuca<\/p>\n<p>Just after 6 p.m., a baby pink limo rolled onto The Sun Rose West Hollywood\u2019s checkered piazza, which had been transformed from valet zone to pop-up concert, complete with a circular hot pink stage emblazoned with a black star. All fans in attendance wore t-shirts (also hot pink and black) that proclaimed \u201cYour Favorite Boy Band.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center is-style-altfont has-secondary-color has-text-color has-link-color has-xs-font-size wp-elements-a392843e06eac12cec56e735f4f8219f has-lg-margin-top\" style=\"letter-spacing:1px;text-transform:uppercase\">Scroll to continue reading<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/DSC00359-Enhanced-NR-scaled-400xauto.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83418\" style=\"object-position: 50% 50%;\"  \/>Credit: Andy DeLuca<\/p>\n<p>Hemmings, Clifford, Hood and Irwin hopped\u00a0out of the limo to stand on top of the stretched vehicle for a moment of glory, taking in the screams and applause before hitting the stage for the live debut of \u201cNot Ok.\u201d Performing through technical issues, the band showed their ever-present sense of humor and encouraged the crowd to chant \u201cRefund! Refund! Refund!\u201d Past the blip, 5SOS powered through \u201cTeeth\u201d from 2020\u2019s Calm to the palpable excitement of fans \u2014 Hemmings hardly had to sing the chorus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/DSC00582-Enhanced-NR-scaled-400xauto.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-83420\" style=\"object-position: 50% 50%;\"  \/>Credit: Andy DeLuca<\/p>\n<p>Much of the concert was dedicated to previewing the new album with more than half of the set dedicated to Everyone\u2019s a Star!
