On Friday\u2019s episode of \u201cReal Time with Bill Maher,\u201d host Bill Maher argued that<\/a> to get back to what he called \u201cold America,\u201d Democrats must scale back their more radically progressive ideology.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we are ever going to get back to the old America, that\u2019s got to be the Democrats\u2019 part of the bargain. Stop coming up with radically new and often terrible ideas and then, in the next breath, insist there be no debate about any of it,\u201d Maher said.<\/p>\n

The \u201cReal Time\u201d host began the segment by criticizing some Democrats\u2019 support for men competing in women\u2019s sports, adding that there\u2019s \u201ca lot of stuff like that on the left.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd when conservatives see it, they say, \u2018I\u2019m sorry. We\u2019re just not going to go along with reinventing society, often pointlessly, even if we have to cancel democracy to do it,’\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Maher continued, firing off a list of issues he argued are damaging the Democratic Party\u2019s reputation with the average American.<\/p>\n

\u201cTransing kids by self-diagnosis with no age limit, no parental notification, and no acknowledgment of social contagion. Not doing it. Asylum now covers any reason for anyone to come to America. Not doing it. Homelessness is a lifestyle. <\/p>\n

\"BillMaher criticized a lot of the stances that progressives take. FOX News<\/p>\n

\u201cNatural immunity doesn\u2019t count anymore. Whiteness is toxic. Penises in women\u2019s prisons. Welcoming the intifada. We\u2019re not doing it,\u201d the late-night host railed.<\/p>\n

Another issue Maher raised is Democrats\u2019 unwillingness to debate<\/a> these topics with Republicans, often dismissing anyone who disagrees as \u201cbad, stupid, and deplorable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t just say s\u2014,\u201d he contended. \u201cMath is racist. Queers for Palestine. Looting is cool. Healthy at any weight. If the men\u2019s football team played the women\u2019s team, it would be a tie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"BillMaher also mentioned Democrats\u2019 unwillingness to debate these topics with Republicans. FOX News<\/p>\n

The late-night host mocked Democrats\u2019 \u201csmug self-righteousness\u201d in defending \u201csome of the dumbest ideas to ever come down the pike,\u201d arguing it is not a winning strategy for the party.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up his monologue, Maher warned liberals that if they keep pushing radical progressive policies, those in power may never give that power back.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s one thing I can promise every liberal in this country. The Democrats can win every election from now until forever.
