Our panelists offer their predictions.

Mirra Andreeva vs Mayar Sherif

Nurein: This is when Conchita Martínez’s wisdom might come in handy for Andreeva. The Spanish coach is a former Wimbledon champion and can add to Andreeva’s attacking prowess on grass. Sherif is playing on her least favorite surface and is usually very vulnerable.
Andreeva in 2

Yesh: This is not the easiest of draws for Mirra Andreeva, who still has very little experience on grass courts. She’s exceptionally talented and should win, but Sherif will make her work for it.
Prediction: Andreeva in 2

Manuel: Even if Andreeva hasn’t quite come to grips with grass yet and has been struggling on the surface, this is a matchup she should be able to win even if a deep run her seems unlikely. Andreeva in 2

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro vs Ella Seidel

Nurein: Last year, Bouzas Maneiro shocked the defending champion Vondrousova right out of the gate. But the Spaniard has drawn a big-hitting qualifier in Ella Seidel who was very impressive this past week in securing her main draw berth. This has serious upset potential if Seidel picks her spots.
Seidel in 3

Yesh: Bouzas Maneiro has really come into her own this year. This will be a fun test against a solid but not exceptional player. I think the Spaniard can come through.
Prediction: Bouzas Maneiro in 3

Manuel: It’s a close matchup on paper, even considering Maneiro’s far higher ranking. Seidel has played a lot on grass this season and showed a very good level to make it through qualifying here. That extra match play might just make the difference in her favour here. Seidel in 3

Maria Sakkari vs Anna Blinkova

Nurein: We might have seen flashes of the old Sakkari in Bad Homburg. There was grit and patience, and perhaps something she’s been missing for a while, and that was her self-belief. I expect the Greek to take care of Blinkova, who loves to grind and won’t get that luxury on grass.
Sakkari in 2

Yesh: Maria Sakkari is tough to figure out. Her game is still blistering at times, but those times are fewer and further between. It’s not age, but something has shaken her confidence and her game. Nothing like good hard-hitting rhythm on a grass court to try to get it back, though.
Prediction: Sakkari in 3

Manuel: At her peak, Sakkari was clearly the better player but the situation is quite different now and this should be quite a close matchup decided by fine details. Still, Sakkari probably has the slight edge here. Sakkari in 3

Jaqueline Cristian vs Zeynep Sonmez

Nurein: This is an open matchup, but I think Cristian has to be the favorite. Sonmez lacks the variety and power to survive the Romanian’s barrage.
Cristian in 2

Yesh: Neither of these players loves grass, and neither has any sort of decent form at the moment. Flip a coin, and maybe skip this match if there’s a better one on.
Prediction: Cristian in 3

Manuel: Despite the difference in ranking, this should be quite a close matchup. Sonmez has played more on grass this season and that match play might well make the difference in her favour here. Sonmez in 3

Main Photo Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images

[48
15670,15057,22948,10340,22949,22950,22951,7843,22952,22953,22879,22954,62,1464,1474,1475,67,132,68,2071,21416,22955
0":"post-26022","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tennis","8":"tag-2025-wimbledon","9":"tag-anna-blinkova","10":"tag-ella-seidel","11":"tag-jaqueline-cristian","12":"tag-jaqueline-cristian-vs-zeynep-sonmez-prediction","13":"tag-jessica-bouzas-maneiro","14":"tag-jessica-bouzas-maneiro-vs-ella-seidel-prediction","15":"tag-maria-sakkari","16":"tag-maria-sakkari-vs-anna-blinkova-prediction","17":"tag-mayar-sherif","18":"tag-mirra-andreeva","19":"tag-mirra-andreeva-vs-mayar-sherif-prediction","20":"tag-sports","21":"tag-tennis","22":"tag-tennis-picks","23":"tag-tennis-predictions","24":"tag-united-states","25":"tag-unitedstates","26":"tag-us","27":"tag-wimbledon","28":"tag-wimbledon-predictions","29":"tag-zeynep-sonmez
["GET
