The Real Housewives of Orange County<\/a> alum cleared the air in the latest episode of My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast<\/a>, just days before Alexis and John\u2019s \u201cunconventional wedding.\u201d<\/a>\u00a0At the top of the broadcast,\u00a0special guest Alexis offered a few more details about her relationship and revealed how excited she was to tie the knot \u201cin a few days.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYay!\u201d Vicki said about the fast-approaching marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cYay? Really?\u201d Alexis replied. \u201cYou don\u2019t like him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vicki immediately pushed back, insisting she \u201cnever had an issue with John\u201d and that they \u201cwere totally fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs long as he loves you and is good for you, that\u2019s all I need,\u201d Vicki told Alexis.<\/p>\n

\u201cWater on the bridge,\u201d the bride-to-be responded. \u201cAmazing to hear.\u201d<\/p>\n

What did Vicki Gunvalson say about Alexis Bellino & John Janssen’s relationship?<\/p>\n

Alexis said she was under the impression that Vicki had an issue with John based on her previous comments in interviews and podcasts. For example, just weeks after Alexis and John became official<\/a>, Vicki questioned why Alexis would want to date a man who was previously involved with\u00a0Shannon Storms Beador<\/a>.\u00a0(Shannon and John had an on-again, off-again relationship<\/a> from 2019 to 2022.)<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me to see that Alexis \u2014 someone I actually had some respect for \u2014 would go so low as to date Shannon\u2019s ex<\/a>? It\u2019s gross. It\u2019s low, and it\u2019s not being a girl\u2019s girl.\u201d Vicki told Celebuzz<\/a> in December 2023. \u201cIt makes one question why John would want to date another Housewife. Is he also fame-hungry and wanting to remain on TV? We all know the answer!\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis Bellino says she and John Janssen had reservations about dating<\/p>\n

During her September 24 appearance on Vicki and Christian Gray Snow\u2019s podcast, Alexis claimed she had yet to meet John when she was in talks to return to RHOC. Although she ultimately took on a \u201cfriend of\u201d role for Season 18<\/a>, Alexis confessed she and John had some reservations about her returning to Housewives once they began dating.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe knew America would hate us. We knew what we were getting into,\u201d she said. \u201cWe were like, \u2018We\u2019re not gonna do this. We\u2019re gonna stay back. We\u2019re gonna pause. We\u2019re gonna just be friends.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis said she and John\u2019s \u201cchemistry\u201d was so strong they couldn\u2019t help but follow their hearts. They eventually confirmed their romance on Instagram and got engaged less than a year later<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Alexis shared more details about her wedding planning and how she mistakenly assumed it would be easy. She reminded listeners she had walked down the aisle\u00a0twice before: She had a brief marriage when she was 23, and went to tie the knot with Jim Bellino<\/a>, with whom she shares three children. Alexis and Jim finalized their divorce<\/a> in 2018 after 14 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis whole time, up until about two weeks ago, I have been like, \u2018Eh, it\u2019s easy! Third time around,\u2019\u201d she said about her wedding preparations. \u201cI hired my same wedding planner from when I married Jim\u2026 I was interviewing other wedding planners and I was like, \u2018None of them are clicking.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis said she asked John if he was OK with her rehiring the wedding planner, and he was, thankfully, indifferent.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018I don\u2019t care,\u2019\u201d she recalled before touching on her pre-wedding stress. \u201cIt\u2019s been an amazing fit. Now, days away\u2026 I am losing my mind\u2026 It\u2019s just a lot. We\u2019re kind of throwing a production. We\u2019re not throwing a normal wedding. We\u2019re doing everything unique.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexis said she and John discussed having a smaller, more private ceremony, but she decided she wanted to use the occasion to celebrate all of her friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t really about a wedding\u2026 It is not a typical wedding,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt\u2019s more of a huge party. We already feel married, in our eyes, anyways; I have for a year since he put a ring on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
