{"id":260562,"date":"2025-09-28T05:49:30","date_gmt":"2025-09-28T05:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/260562\/"},"modified":"2025-09-28T05:49:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-28T05:49:30","slug":"harris-county-flood-control-district-seeks-public-input-on-flood-resilience-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/260562\/","title":{"rendered":"Harris County Flood Control District seeks public input on flood resilience plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Harris County Flood Control District officials are holding public meetings in early October seeking community feedback to assist with the county\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcfcd.org\/Portals\/62\/Resilience\/FAQ\/HC%20Flood%20Resilience%20FAQs.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first comprehensive flood resilience plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>The big picture<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Building upon the work completed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/spring-klein\/environment\/2022\/07\/01\/community-flood-resilience-task-force-presents-first-annual-report-to-harris-county-commissioners\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harris County Community Flood Resilience Task Force<\/a> that originated after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcfcd.org\/2018-bond-program\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2018 $2.5 billion flood bond<\/a>, the flood resilience plan is being developed by multiple county departments.
