{"id":261480,"date":"2025-09-28T14:32:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-28T14:32:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/261480\/"},"modified":"2025-09-28T14:32:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-28T14:32:11","slug":"steelers-qb-skylar-thompson-mugged-injured-in-scary-dublin-attack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/261480\/","title":{"rendered":"Steelers QB Skylar Thompson mugged, injured in scary Dublin attack"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NFL\u2019s first trip to Dublin came with a snag.<\/p>\n<p>Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was the victim of a mugging on Friday night in the Irish capital ahead of Pittsburgh\u2019s game against the Vikings at Croke Park, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/steelers-skylar-thompson-jumped-robbed-in-dublin-qb-suffers-minor-injuries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFL Network\u2019s Tom Pelissero reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson suffered minor injuries, but is OK and with the team, per Pelissero.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old was already on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury on Sept. 10.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin,\u201d a Steelers spokesman told Pelissero. \u201cWe will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was mugged in Dublin on Friday.
