Jessica Pegula is once again a winner on the WTA Tour, having beaten Iga Swiatek in the final of the Bad Homburg Open.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pegula told Swiatek to cut herself \u2018some slack\u2019<\/a> after their final, in which the American beat the Pole 6-4, 7-5.<\/p>\n

The champion was the top seed at the WTA<\/a> 500 tournament on grass, with runner-up Swiatek<\/a> having been the fourth.<\/p>\n

Brad Gilbert likes Pegula\u2019s chances at Wimbledon<\/a>, where the Bad Homburg Open champion is the third seed.<\/p>\n

Pegula<\/a> enters the Grand Slam as a nine-time winner on the WTA Tour, and takes on Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto in round one.<\/p>\n

But she has just been celebrating her latest success, with Pegula writing on Instagram: \u201cOnly good things in Bad Homburg. Thanks for all the love and support this week. Now time for a special one at Wimbledon.\u201d<\/p>\n

And two fellow Americans and fellow WTA stars were quick to comment on the post, delighted for Pegula ahead of Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

French Open champion Coco Gauff<\/a> wrote: \u201cCongratulations,\u201d while Australian Open winner Madison Keys<\/a> wrote: \u201cAnother one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica Pegula WTA career titles heading into Wimbledon<\/p>\n

Pegula has truly been flying high in the current season so far, having just picked up her third WTA Tour title of 2025.<\/p>\n

She previously triumphed at Charleston and Austin, with her latest success coming at the perfect time in the calendar.<\/p>\n

The American star has, however, only ever managed to reach the quarter-finals at Wimbledon and no further.<\/p>\n

But the experienced player is in form going into Wimbledon, where she will be looking to replicate the success of Gauff and Keys from this season\u2019s previous Grand Slams.<\/p>\n
