HOUSTON<\/strong> \u2013 An elderly woman died from smoke inhalation after a fire at a senior living facility in Northwest Houston.<\/p>\n

It started at the West Janisch Health Care Center on Janisch near North Shepherd at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n

There was no word on if the woman was rescued before she died.<\/p>\n

The building was evacuated, but residents were later allowed back inside. <\/p>\n

It was unclear how many people lived at the facility.<\/p>\n

Arson investigators were working to determine what caused the fire.<\/p>\n
