Main St., the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.<\/p>\n<p>The fire in the third-floor hallway of the 12-story structure was held in check by sprinklers and fully extinguished by first arriving firefighters in less than 20 minutes, the department added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA 68 year-old female resident (undetermined relationship or proximity to the scooter) reportedly jumped from a third-floor fire escape prior to LAFD arrival, sustaining a severe leg injury and minor facial trauma,\u201d the LAFD\u2019s Brian Humphrey said.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital in fair condition.
