The company\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/629940\/apple-siri-robby-walker-delayed-ai-features\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">struggles<\/a> as it tries to keep pace in the AI race are no secret. The next-gen Siri has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/626035\/apple-delays-upgraded-siri-intelligence-longer-than-we-thought\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">delayed<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/apple\/682984\/apple-punts-on-siri-updates-as-it-struggles-to-keep-up-in-the-ai-race\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">multiple<\/a> times and the debut of Apple Intelligence was met with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/685106\/apple-ai-siri-delay-craig-federighi-greg-joswiak-wwdc-2025\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tepid response<\/a>. Veritas gives Apple the ability to quickly develop, test, and collect feedback on new Siri features like \u201csearch[ing] through personal data\u2026 and perform[ing] in-app actions like editing photos.\u201c<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1ymtmqpi _17nnmdy1 _17nnmdy0 _1xwtict1\">According to Gurman Veritas resembles other chatbot apps like ChatGPT and Gemini. Employees type requests, have back and forth conversations, and can even revisit old exchanges to dig deeper on a particular topic. But, at least for now, it doesn\u2019t appear like there\u2019s any plan to release it to consumers. (Which Gurman believes is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/newsletters\/2025-09-28\/apple-s-chatgpt-rival-m5-macbook-air-new-monitor-timing-ads-coming-to-maps-mg3ne6rw?srnd=undefined\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mistake<\/a>.) Instead Apple plans to keep its internal chatbot just that, internal.
