Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> coach Liam Coen and San Francisco 49ers<\/a> defensive coordinator Robert Saleh exchanged words following the Jaguars\u2019 26-21 win on Sept. 28<\/a>, three days after Saleh went public about the Jaguars\u2019 ability to legally \u201csteal\u201d offensive signals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Saleh obviously meant the statement as a compliment in how the Jaguars and previous staffs connected with Coen were able to decode pre-snap defensive signals, but Coen clearly didn\u2019t take kindly to basically having his integrity questioned.<\/p>\n

The Coen-Saleh dust-up occurred on the field and Coen had to be led off by center Robert Hainsey.<\/p>\n

JAGUARS GRADES: <\/strong>Defense leads the way again<\/a><\/p>\n

In the postgame press conference, Coen was given three chances by The Times-Union to address the situation.Coen\u2019s responses \u2026<\/p>\n

“It was not a big deal. Just keep that between us.”<\/p>\n

And \u2026<\/p>\n

“I’m going to keep that between us.”<\/p>\n

And \u2026<\/p>\n

“Nope, we’re just going to keep that between us right now. That’s it.”<\/p>\n

Said Hainsey: \u201cYou saw after the game what this meant to Liam.”<\/p>\n
