It\u2019s been a solid start to the season for Detroit<\/a> Red Wings defense prospect Anton Johansson<\/a>. However, Saturday proved to be a day he\u2019ll probably want to forget.<\/p>\n

Playing for Leksand in a 4-1 loss to Lulea, Johansson unfortunately opened the scoring for the opponents by accidentally swatting a puck into his own net.<\/p>\n

Later, during the second intermission, Leksand coach Johan Hedberg revealed that Johansson would not be returning for the third period due to an undisclosed injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know, I\u2019m not a doctor,\u201d Hedberg told Sweden\u2019s TV4 when asked what the issue was with Johansson.<\/p>\n

Detroit selected Johansson 105th overall in the 2022 NHL entry draft. The Swedish rearguard was impressive last season in a late-season stint with the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins. He earned an entry-level contract<\/a> from the Red Wings.<\/p>\n

He has two points in five games for Leksand this season. Johansson, 21, is leading the team in average ice time per game. He\u2019s skating 21:53 per game.<\/p>\n

Other members of the organization were also reluctant to speak about Johansson\u2019s status after the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t say anything,\u201d Leksand assistant coach David Printz said.<\/p>\n

Red Wings Pick Getting Chance<\/p>\n

There was a hat-trick on the weekend for a Dower Nilsson brother. Unfortunately, it was the brother that the Red Wings opted not to keep.<\/p>\n

In a 4-1 victory over Sodertalje, Liam Dower Nilsson netted three goals for Bjorkloven. A 2021 Detroit draftee, the team didn\u2019t sign Dower Nilsson by the June 1, 2025, deadline. He\u2019s currently playing in Hockey Allsvenskan, the Swedish second division.<\/p>\n

The Red Wings selected his younger brother, Noah Dower Nilsson, in the 2023 draft. Playing for Frolunda in the SHL, Noah began the season as a healthy scratch.<\/p>\n

However, Noah Dower Nilsson got into the Frolunda lineup following an injury to Jere Innala. \u201cDower came in and did a great job there,\u201d linemate Jacob Peterson told Hockey Sverige<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He picked up an assist on Saturday as Frolunda edged HV71 by a 2-1 count.<\/p>\n

Strong Start For Tyurin<\/p>\n

In the Russian JHL, 2025 Red Wings draftee Nikita Tyurin<\/a> is turning in a dominating level of performance.<\/p>\n

The player Detroit chose 140th overall is leading all MHL players in ice time. Tyurin is skating 24:13 per game. With 2-4-6 totals, he\u2019s tied for seventh in points and tied for third in goals among defensemen.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Tyurin signed a four-year, two-way contract with Spartak.<\/p>\n
