{"id":263792,"date":"2025-09-29T12:34:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/263792\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T12:34:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:34:11","slug":"chinese-physicists-produce-most-powerful-stable-magnetic-field-on-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/263792\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese physicists produce most powerful stable magnetic field on Earth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">An all-superconducting magnet built by Chinese scientists has generated a world-record steady magnetic field of 35.1 tesla, about 700,000 times stronger than Earth\u2019s magnetic field.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The development could have implications for anything that requires highly powerful magnets, like aerospace electromagnetic propulsion, power transmission, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear fusion and superconducting magnetic levitation, or maglev.<\/p>\n<p>The fully superconducting magnet developed by researchers from the <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/chinese-academy-sciences-cas?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)<\/a> Institute of Plasma Physics operated stably for 30 minutes before being safely demagnetised.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cThis validated the reliability of the technical solution and provided an important platform for conducting various sample experiments under 35.1 tesla conditions in a fully superconducting magnet,\u201d CAS said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">A tesla (T) is an international unit of magnetic flux density, or the strength of a magnetic field.
