Homicide detectives in National City are investigating the death of a man whose body was found under a freeway overpass this weekend.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the 400 block of West Eighth Street under the Interstate 5 overpass shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday after a report of an unresponsive man on the sidewalk, according to Detective Sgt. Mark Segal of the National City Police Department. Officers determined the unidentified man died and that he had a chest wound.<\/p>\n

No further details were released regarding the nature of the wound.<\/p>\n

No suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing, Segal said.<\/p>\n
