The original restaurant opened in the early 1960s and touts itself as \u201cone of the last bohemian bars\u201d in the neighborhood. The burger is still under $20, one of the few around. The outpost will be open until midnight, with later hours in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Party place Big Night is opening another shop Uptown<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=1025X1701644&amp;xs=1&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fbignightbk.com%2F\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Big Night<\/a>, the dinner party store, continues its expansion across the city with a third location in the Upper East Side (1015 Lexington Avenue, at East 73rd Street), coming Wednesday, October 15.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">Katherine Lewin, formerly the editorial director of the Infatuation, opened the first Big Night location in Greenpoint, at 154 Franklin Street, in 2021 as a tiny, one-stop shop for dinner party essentials. Selling glassware and table linens alongside tinned fish and tahini from local brands, Big Night quickly established itself as a destination for hosts and guests alike. It also became a symbol of the rise of the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grubstreet.com\/2023\/01\/why-every-shoppy-shop-looks-exactly-the-same.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shoppy shop<\/a>,\u201d highly curated stores where you could first find trendy names like Omsom, Graza, and Fishwife.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">In May 2023, Big Night opened a second location in the West Village, at 236 W 10th Street. In early 2025, it expanded its Greenpoint location, which reopened in May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">As part of the nationwide Starbucks shutters, several Upper East Side stores have closed, including<a href=\"https:\/\/eastsidefeed.com\/food-and-drink\/several-upper-east-side-starbucks-locations-quietly-close-amid-nationwide-downsizing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> three locations on the <\/a>UES and<a href=\"https:\/\/tribecacitizen.com\/2025\/09\/29\/starbucks-on-west-street-has-closed-permanently\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> one in Tribeca<\/a>. Of the latter, Tribeca Citizen reports that two other branches closed earlier this year. The most recent closings are part of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/09\/25\/business\/starbucks-job-cuts.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> 400 stores <\/a>on track to shutter nationwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph n2hx75i _1knl15h1 _1knl15h0 cej01i1\">South Korean first lady was at <a href=\"https:\/\/tiktok.pxf.io\/c\/482924\/2160485\/27618?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tiktok.com%2F%40iammari93%2Fvideo%2F7554059751626247438%3F_r%3D1%26_t%3DZP-903LruGBL1b\" rel=\"sponsored noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Woorijip<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPHKwv1ERu7\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nick and Sons<\/a> is making a paw paw danish; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thesandwichboardnyc\/?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Sandwich Board <\/a>(115 Eldridge at Broome Street) is expanding, timed with its one-year anniversary earlier this month.
